The Big Crafty and Asheville Grown Business Alliance are putting on a celebration of unchained and independent Asheville. This festival is sponsored and made possible by local and independent businesses, crafters, artists, restaurants, breweries & non profits. The mission of the festival is to support independently owned businesses in the community and to promote our vibrant local economy by educating citizens & visitors to our community about the critical importance of thinking locally first when considering the impact of national and global chains.
How can I help out?
We have volunteer opportunities both before and during the event. Please contact us for more information. If your business has something to contribute or wishes to help sponsor this event, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and put ‘Volunteer’ in the subject line.
I am a multi-national corporation who likes to extract money from a community & I want to make myself look good, can I give you guys $2,000 to put my name in lights?
Sorry. This is entirely sponsored by citizens, local and independent businesses & people who truly love Asheville.
How much does it cost to attend?
The Big Love Fest is a free event. Please remember to bring your valid ID and cash to purchase vendor items, wristbands, beverages and food!
Do you take credit cards at the event? If not, where can I get some extra cash?
Though some vendors may take credit cards, you will need cash to purchase most things including wristbands at the event. Multiple ATMs are located within a block from festival grounds.
How do I get the wristband?
We plan to have 2 stations on the festival grounds for wristbands, 1 near the stage in the Roger McGuire Park and 1 at Pack Place. Wristbands will be $2 and available to people 21 and over with valid photo ID.
Can I bring my own cooler?
No outside coolers are allowed at the Big Love Festival. Also no glass containers are allowed on festival grounds. We strongly encourage festival goers to purchase food and beverages from our local, independent vendors and downtown restaurants.
Are kids welcome?
Absolutely! This is a family friendly event & we will have plenty for kids to get involved in.
Where do I park?
We encourage the use of parking decks around the downtown area. Click here to see those decks and their locations.
What about my pet?
Though we love animals, pets are strictly prohibited inside of the festival boundaries. This is in the best interest of both the animal and the crowd.
